Hi, I’m Steve. I’m 57 years old. I’m married to a wonderful woman, Anna, and between us, we have four children. I work as a Cybersecurity Engineer and moonlight as everyone’s on-call computer geek. I play guitar and cook well enough to get invited to parties. I think I’m a good person — maybe not always, but I’m always Steve.

Six years ago, I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. Since then, I’ve shown up for my family, home, and work, even as fatigue increases and life’s to-do list keeps growing. Kidney disease is progressive and irreversible. I've done all I can with diet and exercise to slow the damage. Now it’s a race between us and dialysis.
